Win today, or you'll be a loser tomorrow!

  • yup, i pretty much would love to see an implosion, i hardly got to see anything OU bb this year.....

  • Exactly deca! And then, when the KU/neb game is over, they go to LSU rather than let us see the end of our game. They could have at least let us see the remaining 1.5 to 2 minutes.

  • ESPN has a lot of money at stake with two major shareholders: 1) the SEC and 2) Texas Longhorns. They almost have a monopoly on sports and it has really not been a good thing!

  • statements like this always baffle me. i dont completely disagree, i think they can be a bit much at times. but where else are you going to watch sports? i mean c'mon....fox? they are a monopoly but i love about 75% of what they do. but i cant say much cause what channel do i turn it to every night before i go to bed? • did OU win or lose??

  • I guess the common screw-jobs we'd get on men's Big Monday weren't enough for them, To remind, about every time OU was on Big Monday, we'd always follow a Big East foul-fest that would last well over the allotted two hours (one Bedlam game, which we won, was "joined in progress" around the 4:00 media timeout in the first half). And to add insult to injury, they'd never re-broadcast it.

Won big, 88-67. I guess our game was too un-dramatic for their taste.

  • They showed the entire game here in boston. These decisions are usually based on geography.

  • I keep saying, this Shorthorn network, in bed with ESPN, is going to make it very, very difficult in the future to stomach what you see.
Just wait until the football season, and watch the bs that will be coming about the shorthorns. They are a great recruiting tool for Mackiepimp.
OU should have headed to the Pac without little sister, and never look back. Sooner or later.

    Alan,

    You are correct.

Times have changed and it is a very different recruiting world than decades before. Too many fans can't get past the memories. texas has temporarily backed off so that they can keep a conference they can control. As soon as there is a permanent head of Big12, they will be back controlling everything, including OU, but worse than before. The type of issues that started this thread will only get worse. WVA and TCU do not change any of that. ESPN has mind share with many of the recruits. OU chose to lay in this bed of snakes and I believe it will bite them as long as they are there.
