Why was Justin Blackmon hugging one of our coaches?

After the game he seemed to be spending a lot of time with a couple of our coaches. I don't think we recruited him, so I'm curious what that was all about. It didn't seem like he was just being nice, it seemed like he knew them. Anyone know what that was about? He seems like a good guy!
BTW, I've been meaning to post this for weeks but keep forgetting. The coaches have done a great job this year eliminating the penalties! Not much has been said about it, or at least not enough. That was a huge problem last year and they really emphasized it this year and it paid off!
The penalties especially from the OL have been few and far between! That is one of the big reasons why we will be playing for the championship. We would have lost a few of those close games if we had the kind of penalties we did last year!
Things are rarely perfect or totally bad. Reality=closer to the middle. Never as bad as it seems, never as good as it seems.

Blackmon is a big fast kid, he should do well at the next level.

We did recruit him. But, as a Dback. So, there is probably a coach or two on our staff who built a relationship with him of some sort.

The guy he was hugging is the FCA leader at OU
The two best professional rookies in 2010 and both from Oklahoma City,Oklahoma.

What a great point! We have played the most cleaned up season that I can remember in my decades as a fan. The entire coaching staff deserves a great deal of credit since it applies to every unit.

Really? That's interesting! I wonder why we didn't recruit him as a receiver!

I noticed that as well.. who is the FCU leader? Stoops gave him a hug and had words as well... Im sure its a respect thing, he is a heck of a player and going to be very good down the road.
I'm hell when I'm well.. And, I am never sick!

Probably for the same reason that OSU redshirted him last year instead of playing him.
The problems we face today exist because those that work for a living are out numbered by those that vote for a living.

He was the FCA leader of Norman and the OU campus (Fellowship of Christian Athletes) Kent Bowles.He also serves as the teams chaplain.
The two best professional rookies in 2010 and both from Oklahoma City,Oklahoma.

Kent was my FCA Leader in Ardmore when I was a teenager. He's an amazing man that represents the true meaning of Christ-Like love.

There's your answer. Blackmon is from Plainview which is a "suburb" of Ardmore.
