Is the University VIP Sports Tours any good?

If first time you should definitely go by west end. Streets blocked off for bars and restaurants. All fans.

Deep Ellum also good but not all OU - Texas.

Last year we hung out in the West End. On the patio at a nice steakhouse. It is called The Butcher Shop. They had a big open lot, and it was packed by the end of the night. DJ was playing some good tunes, and it was all OU fans. It was next door, across the street from where Joes Crab Shack used to be if anybody remembers that. Lots of places up and down the street as well. Get down there early, no matter where you plan on going unless you have tickets to one of the parties like HOB.

Save it for Saturday & Saturday night

Do not walk down the street with a beer at West End. My buddy stepped off the curb with a beer and got arrested by some rent a cop and spent the whole night in jail plus a 300 fine. Biggest scam ever. It was his first beer of the night.

Nope just walked off the curb into the street with a beer. We just started drinking our first beer. He got out of the drunk tank at 6 the next morning. No breath test or anything. Like I said watch the cops. It was total BS.
