  • I was wondering this too, I must have missed this. Not clear what Ronnell's situation is.My other question is what is his status for the the bowl game? I hope this isn't a situation where he has one foot out the door already.

  • I'm still confused about RL playing or not in bedlam but will leave that go. Main interest is the bowl game. James what about RL playing in the bowl game? Is he eligible now, can be eligible if he does something, or is he not eligible?

  • He has missed a lot of class time, and I would suspect that his status of eligibility for the bowl will be up in the air.

I think it was here that I read a quote from a recruit saying that the staff told him they wanted the recruit to come to replace both departing defense end starters. So they don't expect Ronnell back next year. And if what I've read is true, he has missed a lot of class time.

it's not definitive but it's looking less and less likely he plays in the bowl game and yes Ronnell will not be returning next year, he will declare for the draft

this last case he went back to Dewer for another personal reason (one I completely understand and he put his family first over football, I respect that), but it's understandable how Stoops is dealing with this issue because Ronnell knows he has missed a lot of class and keeps having personal issues come up in Dewar. Ronnell knows the situation he is in here and he has a lot of personal family issues that keep coming up in his hometown. I think a lot of people would struggle with what he's dealing with. Remember, school doesn't come easy to him and while he tries, he doesn't have a fair chance to totally concentrate on school and the team.

I don't think Ronnell's being selfish to the team here, he is just being pulled in so many directions and is having a hard time dealing with it. Family comes first for him and that's understandable to me.
