As long as BV does what Syracuse, LSU and Louisville defenses did, we should be in good shape against WVU (all beat WVU).

Another note...Pitt, Cinc, USF did a good job defensively against WVU as well but their anemic offenses overshadowed their D efforts because they still lost to WVU.

Be very careful making a generalization off of one game. Yes, they are good. That is why they beat us a few years back and that is why they are continually ranked. They have good schemes, good coaches, and fast and talented players. But to "sky is crashing" - is WAY too much dramatics for the facts.

I actually thought the same thing. I kept looking at their roster hoping to see these guys graduating. We will need to be significantly better to stop those guys. Long time before the game. We have surpassed expectations many times. Maybe we can do it against WVU.

Although the gist of the OP is the epitome of Knee jerk reaction. I have to admit I also thought the same thing last night. We can defend that offense, Question is.... will we? Which D will show up that day? Remember Brents 50 front did get to Holgerson in last years OSU game quite well! So I will reserve judgement. I know we can and hope we will!

JAFSO in the Big 12, our coaches and players will deal with it. West Virginia lost to some mediocre teams this year, and frankly Clemson was a VERY young team as well, when they got some adversity they fell apart. West Virginia will be a solid addition to the Big 12 a team that can challenge OU and Texas for the championship year in and year out, and frankly that is JUST what we want! The Big 12 needs to repair its image, going 7-1 in the bowls so far is a great start, getting to 8-1 would make a HUGE statement.

This
