  • Yep, sure reminds me of James.

He flips the ball to the ref exactly like James handles his chicken fried steak. Same form, same quick motion, an uncanny resemblance.

But seriously, for some real excitement, go back and watch Kieth Ford's video again and you can see how these two will compliment each other so well.

  • None of the above. He runs like Billy Sims.

  • Music really got the office's attention this morning. Kinda cements my reputation as the most gangster corporate lackey in our ranks.

    Great highlight video though.

  • I'm not sure who he most looks like but he looks like a good runner, particularly between the tackles. He has good size and quickness. He may lack a little bit of breakaway speed. I am not sure you can compare him to AD...don't think AD got caught too much.

I am glad we picked him up but I don't think it is fair to attempt to compare him to some of the best that have every played for OU. Let's give him a couple of more years..heck - he isn't even a Senior yet.

  • E. Smith. Not overly big, and not with great speed. But he is always fighting forward, and cannot be brought down by ne guy usually.

When this kid gets to be 215 he will be scarey.

He is a great pick up, it will be interesting to see how he develops.

  • Top end speed is not there. Otherwise he's a powerful back with incredible vision, balance, and agility. Really, his combination of power with the ability to stop and start on a dime is extremely rare. I can't remember seeing this blend of a power back and a scat back in one individual. Maybe my memory is failing me. He does appear to be very special indeed.

Did just that and the one thing that popped out at me was... Keith Ford is FAST!

Can't wait to see both these great backs in a Sooners uniform...

Pretty sure he was talking about high school to. As for Bryant he is very impressive and I am very happy to have him. I agree with the Trent Richardson comparison the most. As for comparing him to other Sooners and what they looked like in high school then I would have to say that he doesn't compare to Peterson or Murray's high lights. Peterson could run by, over or around everyone. Whatever Adrian felt like doing he did I don't even think he was tackled by less than 3 people in high school. Demarco was rarely even touched in his high lights you could of put flags on him and they still wouldn't have gotten him. He would stop and start like it was nothing and run from sideline to sideline all while making the defenders look stupid as they were left falling down or grabbing at air. Another thing that really sets these two apart for me from Bryant is SPEED both Murray and Peterson had elite speed coming out of high school. Again Bryant is a great talent I'm pumped he's a Sooner and with him, Ross and Ford we are going to be great at running back for the next 4-6 years.

Bryant is a fantastic back but if anyone thinks Byrant reminds them of Marcus Dupree, then they did not see (or at least remember) Dupree. Dupree has no equal in the history of college football. 6-4, 240 and 4.4 speed. Like Switzer says, he could have been the best of all time had he had a brain to match the brawn.

If you liked that video, you might want to watch his soph highlights as well. It's pretty impressive.
