It's not just this site... It's everywhere! NOBODY knows anything at this point. Anyone that says they KNOW is full of it. And those that might know more than others ARE NOT talking. Our administrators are NOT going to go public with their plan, why in the hell would they?
If you have been a member of this site for any period of time you would know that OUInsider will wait and get the details before they put any info out there. I for one appreciate that approach. I would rather have good info rather than hear say that someone said this in the bathroom today crap. Be patient, our admin is THE BEST at what they do and know that OU has options and leverage to make a calculated move if neccesary.

I am in the minority in wanting to go to the SEC. We are THE BIG BOY in the Big XII. Not in $$$$$$$$$$$, I know, but in reputation and championships. OU should be in position to play the best out there. I would love to see us play that schedule every year.

There is not a league out there that would not like to add an Oklahoma to there conference. And if they don't (Big X) then they are just plain STUPID.

Remember, Boren did come out and say we would all know SOON about OU's intentions in staying or leaving the conference. We are also on the record in saying we would NOT sue A&M if they bolt. Is that because if A&M leaves we would also leave and we would not sue a team for doing what we are getting ready to do? Who knows at this point?

If this site truly believes that, Scotty, then you are not a journalistic enterprise. As the OP states, realignment is the biggest story in Oklahoma athletics. Ignoring the story for the reasons you voice makes this site nothing more than an OU public relations firm.

If so, it's time to cancel because you're not reporting the news. You're pandering to Oklahoma.

Well, we do know that A&M is leaving anyway, whether it is to the SEC or independent. They've gone too far...they won't stay, they don't want to stay...so their gone. Next move?

I would consider that a good thing. Would think you would as well. There is a massive vacuum out there on this story, and it is the dominant story in college football. The last thing I want is for OUInsider (if they even possess such info..which I doubt) to leak our Admin's confidential information to the public and weaken OU's position. Right now OU is looking very strong from a practical and PR standpoint....lets keep it that way.

As of right now, we hold the cards.

I don't know, would you rather see a news story that's just full of speculation and mis-information gleaned from people talking out the side of their mouth or would you rather see a story with cold hard facts that you can rely on?

Unfortunately with a story this large and this encompassing, there's only a select few individuals that truly know anything about this and that's Joe Castiglione, David Boren, other presidents and ADs of the universities involved along with the conference commissioners.

If any reporter, James Hale, ESPN, Berry Tramel and others actually knew of any solid information it would be posted in a heartbeat all over the internet as a lead story, however it's all just speculation.

In my personal opinion, if anything legitimate were to leak out about OU's intentions, then I believe it would weaken our position of strength in our ability to get what is best for our University.

FYI, my opinion is my own and has nothing to do with the reporting of James Hale or others on the site. It's just an opinion and we know what the saying is about those :)
