Will he be a mid term grad?
He needs to add on 20-30 lbs. I hope OU gives him a training scheldule and a meal plan to make that happen. 280 lbs wont get you a job in D-1. But if he busts his rear, and shows up in June at 290+ and is in shape, then goes thru the summer workouts and fall practice and puts on another 10 lbs, he will be in contention .
I hope he realizes all those pictures he saw were guys that did more than just show up. They specialized in football, lived and breathed football, and played like a champion because they were champions.
Things are rarely perfect or totally bad.
Reality=closer to the middle.
Never as bad as it seems, never as good as it seems.
