"I'm going to stay at Texas until they fire me" - Will Muschamp
This list of players is very concerning. Will needs to take charge of his business. Advisors help, but you have to pilot the vessel.
Academic advisers at some CC's are students or paraprofessionals due to cutbacks at most CC's. It is often (but not always a beginning position). And since the classes and schools are a whole different animal than OU there are a lot of issues as to what one class is content wise as related to the requirements of OU.
The bottom line is that it is ALMOST ALWAYS better to take a kid from a JUCO who is a December graduate than a May graduate. Fewer last minute issues, and if issues a occur then they can be addressed with Spring and then Summer classes if there are mistakes.
OU is still evolving in regards to this. And there is work to be done. First question that should be asked, "are you graduating in December, and then, prove it".
There is nothing more dangerous in this world than a man with nothing to lose.
