Come on guys under switzer we had players quitting all the time especially in August !! Hate to use a Cliche but When the going gets tough the tough get going!! Almost every day in August we showed up for morning practice and a player had disappeared Rod Shoate would yell out I-35 then the rest of us would follow with a loud I-35 : )

That's a good story Jimbo. The biggest difference between your playing days and today is that scholarship numbers are much more tight.

Usually. I'm told, there's something in life between high school and being a greeter at Walmart.

Some of the (really) big boys get homesick pretty quick. They're used to being the centerpiece at home and the adjustment looks insurmountable at first.

Yeah, who knows if this is permanent or not. As Jimbo is saying here, and James has said MANY times on this board, players quit and return all the time. You just see it more now because of social media and things like that that give us fans more insight into specific happenings. If the light comes back on for McGee and he returns, great. If not, then we'll find someone else happy to suit up and work hard at OU.
