This. People are lining up to cry about the timeout but most people I've seen post approved of the decision to go for two. Both decisions were risky and were for the same purpose, which was to win it in regulation.
Overtime was a definite advantage to Baylor.

Had it worked out, people would be praising Stoops and saying the riverboat gambler is back.
Not really a bad gamble considering where the ball was on the field. D has to make 2 plays and force a punt. Didn't work out.
Move on.

The idea is that you call the timeout, see what happens on second down, and then either call another one or let the clock go. Giving up 50 yard TD passes ruins any strategy.
