Thanks for the thoughts....
I too believe we'll see a different OU team next week.
I sure hope so. I truly believe they are much better than this, and no disrespect to Utep. They played a heck of a game.
Oh the morning after. This is one of those mornings where you think to yourself..."What the hell was I thinking? Was I that drunk? Good God! I won't do that again"...until the next time.
Yep- I quite agree Alb, although I wasn't actually drunk, I was dazed and confused! (STS) O Line and DTs better darn well improve or we're in for another bad roller coaster ride this season!
Stills may be better outside than playing in the slot? .......Really?
This win on the road should help down the road.
EDIT: Yes Really!!!!

OU's lack of talent across the board can't be fix anytime soon. This is just an 8 - 4 / 9 - 3 type team, period. Huepel is a HORRIBLE play caller and that will never change. He calls a swing pass on almost every play and never runs the ball. Not sure why he hasnt figured out that a swing pass never gets more then 2 or 3 yards. Its a stupid play, just run the Damn ball. I'm not sure if we ran on first and 10 once nor did we run 2 straight plays. Nothing will change as long as huepel is calling plays.
I may disagree with various comments on here, I do think an 8-4 or 9-3 record is suggested by the UTEP game.
The D might keep us in some games, if they can keep teams out of the end zone, like last night (but it as just UTEP).
As I said last year, after RB went down, the play calling and LJ inconsistency leads to other problems. His interceptions have been high, and his completion % is not great for as many swing passes we throw. His high yardage amounts come from so many throws and YAC.
I think LJ struggles finding the open receiver quickly. RB was his safety net. Last night it looked as if he focused on Stills.
I am fan of LJ, but sure hope he gets into a better rhythm.
We need to run Damien more.
What I saw was really obvious. No push in either lines of scrimmage. When you have your dbacks making the tackles all night, it doesn't bode well for power running teams like K state and/or Texas or (put in name here). We need McGhee back and some depth on the D line or its going to be a long year. Either we are really ordinary or UTEP is much better than I thought.
