Why any WR would go there right now is beyond me. Texas QB situation = banking on Swoopes being the next VY. Don't hold your breath on that one. And even if he is, you really want to go somewhere that the QB run game is option 1A and 1B?

Texas could go 7-5 for 3-4 years & they still would get who they wanted in Texas!! I remeber when Switzer was at OU & it was not that way!!! I know things have changed with scholly limits,but I still think this staff is de-emphasizing Texas as as whole!!Look at the figures,but feel free to correct me if i am wrong!!Go Sooners!!!!!!!!!

Do you forget the context in which Switzer recruited? There is not such thing now. The whole world has changed. Texas is the last all white team to win a national championship, integrating after Ol Miss. Royal was, is an always will be that kind of racist that is accepted in fine country clubs across America, today. Did you see the movie about Syracuse playing Texas in the Cotton Bowl?

There were many black parents who would not let their son go to Texas and play for Royal. One of those was a coach in Port Arthur named Mr. Washington. The country did not recruit Texas like they do now and areas like Houston were relatively easy picking for Switzer, when compared to today

You can not compare what Switzer was able to do in Texas, with what can be done now. Any figures you would come up with comparing then and now are wrong.
