OU defensive tackle Stacy McGee was cited and released for misdemeanor possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia Sunday, Norman police spokeswoman Jennifer Newell.
McGee was pulled over by police on East Lindsey Street a little after 5 p.m. A police officer spotted one joint of marijuana and a marijuana grinder. Because he was a Norman citizen, McGee was allowed to do a sign and release.
McGee, a native of Muskogee, started 10 of 13 games at last season defensive tackle, and finished the year with 26 tackles. He will be a junior this season.

Merle was wrong, apparently they do smoke marijuana in Muskogee. Gotta wonder about the smarts of the guy, if you got pulled over by police, i would think you'd probably wanna not leave it in plain sight for them to see.

This is not that big of issue many past Sooners smoked and many current Sooners smoke. He will be in great shape though with all the extra running.

I wondered how long it would take for somebody to say, "no big deal." It is a big deal. They've been warned. They've been educated. What does it take to get through to these young men? It's illegal. 'nuff said. Stacy's been here three years. No excuses.
Stoops won't boot him (and I'm not advocating that he should), but if he did, Stacy's got no one to blame but himself. Really, really dumb.

We cannot keep losing starters for the first game of the season. Period. Ask Notre Dame how easy Tulsa can be. Yes we should win easily, but we need as many starters on the field to prep for Florida State... This is not good in ANY WAY!
