The comment as explained can at best suggest that Box's death was possibly suicidal, but even such a suggestion would be grossly inappropriate. I have always loved Spencer Tillman, but such a comment as this on a national medium could be emotionally and even financially damaging (if the family had a life insurance policy on him).

I agree with Georgia that "it's a pretty big bell that can't be unrung." Emily Dickinson said, "A word is dead when it is said, some say. I say it just begins to live that day."

I am upset, and I have never even met Austin. I can imagine how upset his family must be b/c I have been involved in a similar situation with a lost son.

Spencer is surely kicking himself right now for this impropriety.
