As soon as we got down into recruiting 3-star guys this late recruiting season it struck me that the only way to tell them apart was to look at their offer lists. After all, the guys who do the recruiting-site evaluations don't get fired for their mistakes like the coaches who offer the scholarships.

We have pulled off maybe three high 4-star CB prospects lately in favor of these 3-stars:

Kentrell Brice, CB, (6'1, 178, 4.5) Ruston, Louisiana
Zack Sanchez, ATH (6-0, 172, 4.45), Keller (Central) TX
Gary Simon, CB-S, ( 6-1 / 171 / 4.5), Saint Petersburg, (Gibbs), FL

Very impressive size and speed. Mike Stoops seems to be looking at something different in his recruiting? Maybe an athlete with something to prove to the recruiting experts?
Nothing wrong with a kid out to prove his worth on the playing field.
