I like what I'm seeing from this team. Tough gritty ballclub that is putting forth a great effort and showing how much they care. So much better than the last 2 years.

They are projected to finish 9th out of 10 in the Big 12. If they keep playing like this I'm projecting them to finish 5th. I think we are much improved over last year especially. Osby and Grooms are great additions to this team and the other guys are more experienced, which makes for a great combination.

I hope you are right. A 5th place finish would probably have us on the NCAA bubble with a real shot to make it in, and guaranteed NIT if the bubble bursts.

That's WAY ahead of schedule in year #1 in my opinion.

I agree it's way ahead of where I thought we would be but I've been watching this club and there is a lot more to them than they've shown. At times they can be dominant (yes I mean that) and then at times they ease up. A lot of inconsistency from the last couple of games but we are really playing well and we have 1 month before conference play to become more consistent. We are 7-1 with a real chance at being 11-1 before conference play starts. I'm thinking we will go 10-8 in conference and finish the year 21-9 if we keep playing the way we are.

Not sure we will get in the NCAA but possible with a couple wins in the Big 12 Tourney

I feel confident we make the NIT this year

If we finish 5th in the conference, we would certainly make the tourney. The Big XII will finish the year at or near the top of the conference ratings. Launching two of our worst programs helps. I'll bet we get at least 6 in.

Hopefully we'll be one of them, but it will be an uphill climb. At least we're headed back in the right direction.

Living in Fayetteville......this'll make it much easier to return to work tomorrow night.

It's hard to ignore and not enjoy the direction this team is headed in.

I guess coaching does matter!

Has anyone said that coaching does not matter? Of course it does

This coaching change has the hoops program heading in the right direction.

The previous coaching change set our hoops program back years.

If your trying to make a connection to support your view that football coaches need to be replaced then let's please include the Capel years as an example of how things can backfire so we can consider the entire picture.
