He wants this process over, and there is an implied pressure on both Rettig (who will probably get an offer) and the kid from Texas. I am sure he wants this over within a week or so, so that they can help in recruiting (at least perceptional level). Either one would do, but I think Rettig would be a better choice since he would not be tempted by MLB, and kids in southern Cali know and respect him. He would bring in kids from the area over time, and that is huge with what OU is doing.
