Sorry to be a rumor monger, and sorry as well if this isn’t news; it was the first I’d heard of it.
My wife and I were in Norman last night and had dinner with some friends, one of whom has connections in the OU Athletic Department. He says the word around there is Petrino didn’t have a motorcycle accident. He said Jessica Dorrell’s fiancé, the strength coach for the Hogs swim team, beat the crap out of Petrino and shoved his bike down the embankment where it was found.
May be nothing to it. I may be reporting an old rumor. Take it for whatever you feel it's worth.

I suppose nothing is impossible, but this seems rediculous to me. I can't believe that someone in the OU athletic department know more about what happened than the Arkansas AD. You also have to ask why Petrino wouldn't have let it know that someone had beat the crap out of him.
Besides, the photos don't show a Petrino who had taken a serious beating. If I had beat the crap out of him, his nose would have been visibly broken and both eyes would have cuts and be as black as the ace of spades along with him missing a couple of teeth.
Doesn't make a lot of sense to me.

Accidents can result in weird results. Back several years ago, we were leaving an OU game and driving West on Lindsay. The traffic was at a crawl. There was a motorcycle in the left bound lane right beside us. He pulled up behind the car in front of him and got to close. He turned the front wheel of his motorcycle to the left into the East bound lane. A car hit his front wheel and spun the motorcycle in a circle. The male driver came down on his head resulting in head injuries that he died from about a week later. His girlfriend was flipped up in the air and came down on her butt. She immediately got up and started screaming. She had not even a tiny scratch.
Stuff happens. I see his injuries as consistent with the accident as it was described. Her having minor injuries is sure within the realm of possibilities.

just taking the language out of the original post where the boyfriend "beat the crap" out of Petrino. Just saying that for taking a beating Petrino never showed the signs of that. The neck brace and a scratch just don't add up to getting the crap beat out of him.
Don't you think someone who got the crap beat out of them would at least have a black eye or two and maybe a broken nose and maybe a missing tooth?
Just the normal detective work of reading what was posted and thinking of the consequences of what was suggested. Maybe I just watch to much Law and Order and read to much police fiction to take it at face value
It is just my nature to question what is presented to me. I learned the hard way to not take things at face value. And, it just seems so strange that the Arkansas AD and the media could so easily miss such a beating without even a question. Also, if some source inside the Arkansas AD told someone inside the OU coaches office then others simply have to know about it. These kinds of things simply aren't a "inside secret" long. People just like to spread this stuff around. Just like the OP posted it here someone else at Arkansas would have had to talk about it as well. The story simply doesn't pass the smell test, or, so that is what I think.
I am a scientist and have a very analytical mind. My career training taught me to not leap to conclusions without question. So, it is just my nature to question things.

Really?? Don't you go to jail for that.
I wasn't aware that he was engaged to Petrino. I thought it was the girl that didn't keep her promise to him.
On the other hand, if your fiance is cheating on you, shouldn't you beat yourself up?? You either have terrible judgement in women or you are incapable of keeping her happy. Either way, you need to look in the mirror. Most likely, either your brain or another body part isn't working properly. Why is it Petrino's responsibility to keep the swim coach's engagement intact? At least 50% of American men, both single and married, would have slept with Dorrell if that opportunity came along.
Ms. Petrino should be the person who takes Bobby to the wood shed.

Petrino’s Motorcycle “Accident” *
