"Well...that oughta hold 'em for the next decade or so..." - Barry Switzer
Don't understand his thinking but good luck to him. He'll need it.
The two best professional rookies in 2010 and both from Oklahoma City,Oklahoma.
Corey Nelson is not a LB in this defense is just what I keep telling myself. IMO he and Javon Harris should be fighting it out for that Royback (SAM)position. I agree with VBAD that Wort is not suited for the MLB at all. However I do believe that he will flourish at the WLB. He is a good tackler but he has got to get his head on strait. I think in this defense he will be asked to think less and react more so this should help him tremendously. I believe when the dust settles it will be Byrd starting at MLB. I am however surprised by the comment that the coaches don't see much of a chance for Favors. I thought watching this young man last year that he had a tremendous upside to him. He plays down hill and is a" knock back" tackler. But with Franklin coming on its possible he may not be what I hoped he would be. But it is early and players get hurt.
Now as for this kid and why he is transferring. Who cares why he is leaving? Who cares who the cancers are? I have seen so many posters on this board defend everything Stoops says and does regardless of how unexplainable it may be. So just believe that Bob has a handle on these guys and it will all be ok. If he does have double standards then that would make him human. Not all athletes are the same and some have to be handled different than others. Its just a fact of life.
As ManChild said this kid is just not mentally tough. You have to overcome some obstacles in life. But first he has to get over himslelf. I wish him well but sooner or later you just have to figure that he is damage goods by now. He can go where ever he would like. Just leave here. Because if your mental toughness is that much in question then a guy like Mike Stoops will expose you and it will not be good for him here.
Heard this, heard that. What a croc . Sounds like a 3 year old. Someone have a sit-down talk with OUinLA.

sounds like he had probably had conversations with BV hinting to the fact that he would be among the 3 starting LBs this season. Now with BV gone and a new LB coach and DC everyone would be on the same level. Seems like he is running from competition a little. I understand it to an extent but I dont want someone on my team who doesn't want to work for their position.
"The way I figure it, everyone takes a beating..."
I think it's important to remember that these are still young and immature men. Some are more mature than others and some come from environments that help them stay the course of success and some have poor influencers or are raising themselves the best that they can. It's easy to jump on the different bandwagons of "favoritism", "lack of control" etc... But the bottom line is that we don't know and to speculate is a waste of time.
I will tell you that the WRs were the problem last season. They knew that there was no depth and knew that to field our offense they were not going to be benched or benched for long. There's no way I can reveal how I know... or else I won't get to know anymore, but the issue has been fixed and OU has moved on.
Lot's of "rumor and innuendo" on page 1 there guys. I guess you've forgotten all the periodic discontent on Switzer's teams.
I'm also sure our coaches deliberately play inferior players at LB; just because they "Like them more." Really? Are you serious?
There is nothing more dangerous in this world than a man with nothing to lose.
LIke I use to tell my little brother, who was extremely talented and being looked at by many D-1 schools as a sophomore in high school. Who co-incidentally played at three high schools in three years time. "Man.....if everywhere you go there is trouble...then your the trouble!"
