I heard he was just as concerned with the failure to control players and looking the other way regarding team rules for certain players. Same players that did it last year and the year before.
It's also obvious that he's a quitter.
This probably cost us a MLB recruit in the '12 class. That will hurt.
I'm sure he'll have to sit out next year and that makes me think it had a whole lot to do with playing time or lack of playing time this coming year than anything else.If he thought he would start next season I don't believe he would have left the program.
There is nothing more dangerous in this world than a man with nothing to lose.
I dont know about anymore external problems, but at some point in your life you must take a stand against lifes obstacles. Two transfers let alone one is not good for a career in football?
Calmus almost transferred, but he decided to give the new staff a chace.
Amed Kabba?, you know the story.
There's a tendency take the problems of a few and focus way more on those than the excitement and team spirit that exists in the 99%.
Most of the guys are positive and raring to go. I wouldn't extrapolate the discontent, which has happened EVERY year (including the Switzer years), onto the team as a whole.
This Kid isn't very mentally tough is he. Life is going be rough for him what is he going to do quit his job every time he gets a new boss?
"With Nebraska trying to leave, we felt like we needed to send them out with a loss, and we did." -Ryan Broyles-
I think there is more behind this.. Transfering twice in two years is an issue. He played last year and even came in late to the season. He probably would see time if not start if he gave it his all.. I would think a new coaching staff means a clean slate and time to compete and he is one practice injury from being a full time starter.
I'm hell when I'm well.. And, I am never sick!
I feel sorry for the kid transferring twice in less than a year. He needs better guidance but hopefully things will work out for him.
Amazing to me we have handed over the jobs to Corey and Wort before practice even starts. Wort is one of our best but wasn't suited for the middle. I hope it has changed but who knows without any practice. Nelson was bad as a linebacker last year. He couldn't get off a block ever. I'm sure the coaches saw something in practice but it didn't appear in games. Favors is back in the picture when the weekend wrapup talked about him moving to fullback. Obviously the coaches didn't think much of him as a linebacker.
Yes a couple of the biggest rule breakers are still on the team. I hope some of their behavior has improved but they are still out doing some things that don't represent the program well.
How about you just say who the rule breakers are. If jones is quitting because of them then it points to our starting linebackers. I'm just saying, that is what I am picking up from those of you dropping your "inside" info. I have no idea, but seems to be what you are alluding to.
