OSU Names Starting QB: True Frosh Wes Lunt

Hey when your referred to as trash and being banned you gotta wonder about the source. I'm here to stay. You and and manchild can take a hike.

I never called you trash and as I have stated to Alan I was joking around with the ban business, this was all in fun but I have to wonder what do you expect? This is not the Blue Board open to all fans to discuss whatever pops up, this is OU INSIDER board and I am sure you have your own but would not know because I do not troll other opponents boards and to be honest I think you are being treated rather fairly considering you come over to brag on your team so why don't you take a hike.

  • True fresh QB...the others must suck. This move tells me they have cashed it in this year and are banking on him developing so they can be actually be competitive again in a few years. They have NO chance for the next two years.

Osuck is soooo screwed! I am laughing my a** off at them. I guess Gundy wants an excuse when they go .500.

  • I thought Josh Fields was a pretty good freshman qb for them. But no one will know until this guy steps on the field....

  • Hooknladder....if you read my post I said in two or three years the pokes qb to tear up opposing teams secondary. I never said Osu will beat ou next year. Ou should dominate that game no question about it. But in two years back in stillwater with a experienced qb and with the sooners having a rookie qb it will be interesting. While ou should dominate this year I still remember the Josh fields freshman year when ou choked at home and lost a shot at a national title against the 4-7 pokes. So I wouldn't be over confident about any sooner big twelve games. Look at the tech game last year. WTF was that? One of bob stoops legacies is inexplicable loses!

  • Well....I live in Rochester, IL and watched this QB (Lunt) in several games. He finds ways to win! But...that aside...he IS still a true freshman and has naver experienced the speed of D1 schools. He is in for a surprise...but, this kid is good, so don't get to cocky until you have seen him...then judge!

  • The only cancer on this board is aggie trolls coming on here pretending to be Sooner fans. You fool noone and what a pathetic waste of time. Given our 7 legit NCs (about 16 Bama style NCs) and 30 something conference titles, we are hardly quaking in our boots over the aggies season of a lifetime. You will go back into the woodwork soon enough.

Now you are starting to piss me off! Inexplicable loses? You mean like the one you arse holes had against ISU last year during you alls season of the century? And you have to comment on Stoops? Go back to the farm, hide in your barn and do not come back here til you all have some skins to show us of the non sheep variety and only then will you have the credibility to talk sh?t on this board! You now have your home work assignment and should only take about 80 years to complete if OU drops football tomorrow so off you go lil fella.

  • inexplicable loses I recall are as follows:

OU vs. OSU in Josh fields freshman year that cost OU the chance to win the title
OU vs. Kansas State (35-7) in the Big twelve chanpionship game. Unbelievably they still got to the title game and lost (again).
OU vs. Texas Tech in 2011 where it was something like 31-7 in the second quarter when OU was ranked number one.
OU vs OSU when OSU won 38-28 after leading something like 28-7 at half which again cost the Sooners another shot at the title.
OU vs. West Virgina in Fiesta Bowl
OU vs. Boise State in Fiesta Bowl
OU vs Texas A&M the year the aggies inexperienced quarterback suddenly became Johhny Unitas (I think it was McNeal)
OU vs Texas Christian. An opening day loss NO ONE saw coming.
OU vs.USC in the national title game in which OU was losing something like 35-7 a half in the championship game in which the players quit in the 4th quarter. The fact the lost was no shame but the manner in which it happened was an embarrassment.

THOSE ARE A FEW OF THE STINKERS I CAN REMEMBER.

When you stay on or close to the top those stinkers tend to bring their (A) game to knock off the best! It happens to the best from time to time! How about them 7 National Championships, 7 Big 12 Championships and 4 National title appearances winning one in the last decade? That alone would make your program respectable over a 4 decade span. So address that or we can no longer correspond!

  • The sooners glorious past is exactly what makes those loses so hard to take. Just when you think your on solid ground the rug gets pulled out from under you! Bob stoops comes across on many levels as superman and then....bam! The cryptonite of a clunker game when you least expect it! It's hard to figure out.

They had a chance to win the conference title but they had already lost to Nebraska earlier in the season after Jason White went out with an ACL tear and so I am not sure they were in the national championship hunt during the 2001 season. But you are right...any loss to osu is inexplicable.

  • I love it, pokes talking trash. What a complete idiot. You've beaten your rival once in ten years and last year lost to Iowa State keeping your crap program out of their only title shot ever. You're a dumbass.

It is called parity and has allowed you squirrels to snatch an occasional nut as well, the NCAA has changed the rules to where the lil sisters can have fun too. We still win our share of games and championships and that will never change so Booger Pickens should probably not make plans to increase the size of you alls trophy closet anytime soon.

  • GOD, PLEASE LET THE SOONERS KICK THE CRAP OUT OF THESE AGGIE IDIOTS THIS SEASON! ONE BIG 12 CHAMPIONSHIP AND THEY THINK THEY RULE THE FOOTBALL WORLD! The difference between OU and OSU is that all of OU's losses are inexplicable because OU is favored in almost every game they play. OSU, on the other hand, is often expected to lose and often does.

THOSE ARE A FEW OF THE STINKERS I CAN REMEMBER.

Since we are defining teams by their worst moments. How about we list some of OSU's most glorious moments:

2002 - Loss to LA Tech. Were they D1?
2003 - OU mudholes, "Let er rip'" 52-9. UT blows OSU out 55-16.
2004 - The OSU embarrasses little OSU and little OSU embarrasses the conference in a 33-7 beat down.
2005 - OSU pulls out a squeaker vs. Montana State 15-10. CU blanks OSU 34-0. ISU blows out OSU 37-10. Even lowly Baylor (sub .500) manages a win vs, OSU.
2006 - OSU loses to UH.
2007 - Blow out loss to Georgia, the pitiful loss to Troy and another blowout loss to OU.
2008 - TT blowout loss and OSU D gives up 61 points to OU.
2009 - Second loss to UH and 3 blowout losses to go with it including a 27-0 drubbing by OU.

The clincher is that an OSU fan is here pontificating about OU's "stinkers" while OSU just missed out on a chance to play for the BCS title due to a single loss to a sub .500 team that OU beat 26-6.

  • Hey guys, face it: In the rare years that OU is beaten by OSU, Ou fans have to eat a little crow. So Tator is merely dishing it up. What did you expect? So until the football team sets it straight again (hopefully) in December, just grin and bear it. No need to wade into the crap and banter with the inevitable gloating fan.

Sounds good except this is OUINSIDER not anybody that feels like it insider so I say if he does not behave himself ban his ass. We beat a lot of teams and I do not go on their boards to gloat but would expect to be banned if I did.
