Notre Dame

  • Notre Dame had got to have one the most difficult schedules. By the time they get to OU they would have played: Michigan State, Michigan, Miami, Stanford and BYU. In comparison our toughest games by then would have been KState and Texas (you could say Tech given our recent record in Lubbouck). They will be tested and full grown, with tons of athletes and will not be intimidated. We will need to hit them hard and fast and play well, it will be a dog fight.

  • Hope they lose so many games that they won't be invited to any bowl except the Tidy.

  • What I am most pleased about in getting ND this year is that as far back as I can remember -- and we're talking the 1960s -- we've not played them when we fielded a strong team. We always seemed to catch them in, at best, an average year for us or a great year for them. It looks much different this time.

Vlad, you're just too young. In 1956 OU caught them with a pretty decent team.

  • If the '99 team had finished games, we would have beaten them at their place last time we played them.

Or had Demond Parker stayed for his senior year.

Geez Fault, it's been a long time since anyone's called me young. I was around in '56, but my dad didn't take me to my first OU game until 1960. I did attend the '66 ND game, where we put up a good fight early but ultimately got ripped by Terry Hanratty, Jim Seymour & the #1 Irish.

Yeah, you're just a pup -- my dad took me to my first OU game in '49 vs. Santa Clara. I was at the Notre Dame game in '53 that OU lost 28-21 -- little did I know that that would be OU's last loss until the '57 nightmare.

    Faultline

  • Man I can't challenge YOU guys, but I was a little kid when Hanratty was there. They used to show the NOtre Dame replay on Sunday mornings in Tulsa.
They will be battle tested this year, BUT I think they might be a little beaten up too; whereas we will have had not one, but TWO by weeks.

  • regardless we have only beaten them ONCE, one time, mind you...........and yes, we are down or on our way down and they are up or on their way up almost every single time, this is not deniable.....this year, will be pretty close to even, darn it

  • I wanted the FSU win bad lastyear, this year I want Notre Dame.
