That would be huge for us in recruiting Florida. We seem to have a solid Cali pipeline going and the state of Florida has been good to us recently. Adding Shannon could only help. In 3 or 4 years Ryan Reynolds will eventually be the LB coach. It seems they're grooming him for the job, a lot like Huepel.

We don't need a Co-DC period! We need a linebacker coach that can recruit, or perhaps move Jackie Shipp to that position and hire a replacement coach for the D.L.

Ryan Reynolds...I had forgotten about him. I'm sure that he is considered too young, but I'm confident that he could coach the LB position. The other three defensive coaches (Mike, Jackie, and BJW) are all strong enough to provide a little overwatch for recruiting.

I don't see a miss with either Shannon, Levitt or Steele.

My prediction is that whoever Bob hires will not be a household name. He will be in his thirties and considered a great recruiter. It won't be someone that will be expected to add alot of X's and O's to the discussion. Between Bob, Mike and the rest of the defensive staff, we will have all the strategy we need. What will need are top flight recruits to implement the strategy. While this is an exaggeration, I believe in the old Switzer saying, "It's not the alignment, but rather the alignees" that makes for a great team.

He is not my favorite choice, but I don't have a vote. I will support him if he is hired.

Speedy, U may know more about this than I do. But I've heard that Shannon absolutely forbid anyone to deal with that maniac from Miami. I've heard Shannon will be given a cleal bill of health.

Like I said, sources are just that. Hoping U are wrong.
