It's a grind and it ain't for everyone. He needs to think it through because he could just be in a down spot temporarily. If he truly don't want to do it anymore then he has his reasons.

I started 17 college football games. All teams lose players. It is a tough physical thing to do. Injuries can just destroy a youngster's dreams. Throw family problems on top of everything else, and it can be very discouraging. But all programs go through players. Everyone of these guys were elite players on their high school teams. They come to OU and every player here was the same. Only the elite of the elite get to play. That is a hard pill to swallow. Look at the roster of Central Oklahoma, Northeastern, or Southeastern some time. A majority of the players started at one of the big schools and transferred.

Geez....man up. Quiters never win and winners never quit.

Man, that's cold. We often never know the full reason behind these decisions. I thank him for his effort and wish him the best of luck whatever he decides.
