NEVER EVER A NATIONAL TILTLE

I seem to recall that the last time we won a National Title, our season featured an uninspired performance against none other than the Kansas Jayhawks. I remember sitting in the stands fuming over the way we played that day. Things turned out alright.

1. Your prediction is cowardly and chicken-s. You are basically taking 119 other football teams--ie, the field, against OU. Nice odds, but ignorant thought process.
2. Your claim that someone made a 'typical republican response' was -- in and of itself--- a typical clueless idealogue's idiotic response.

The OP was obviously a troll, just looking to stir up trouble, but lets look at it for what it was... A typical post Texas road win. Lets compare OU's uninspired performance to the game in Stillwater one week earlier:
Total Offense vs Kansas:
OU - 610 - 2 TO's
OSU- 600 - 0 TO's
Total Defense vs Kansas:
OSU- 478 yards 24 first downs, 4 TO's
OU- 252 yards 9 first downs, 0 TO's
some other comparisons:
KU - 478 yards 26 first downs vs Texas Tech
KU - 362 yards 19 first downs vs Georgia Tech
OU's defense played them lights out, especially in the second half, three plays represented 46% of KU's offense for the night, so as has been the case all year, OU's defense held its opponent to its lowest offensive output of the season. These are the facts, and as many of said before, none of this really matters, all teams have uninspired performances during the season where they do not play as well as they should. LSU beat Miss State 17-6, Miss State does not have a win vs a BCS team, they have wins vs Memphis, UAB and an overtime win vs La Tech. They just finished beating two mediocre teams who were playing their first games with unproven back up QB's starting and BIG Surprise they dominated defensively!!! Give me a break.

I'm not too worried about the game. 30 point win in the end. We didn't play great, but didn't need too. You would have a hard time convincing anybody to be amped up about playing this game. The crowd and environment was terrible last night. Alabama and LSU have had lackluster performances thus far, and is to be expected from time to time. Just win baby!

I'd really like it if 247sports would make it possible to undo a previous vote. It is so easy (especially when using a tablet) to accidentally hit a button when touching the screen on the right side in order to scroll.

The more the season goes on, the more I think OU is the clear #2 team. Very good defense, excellent offense. Bama has a very good offense and excellent defense. LSU has an "OK" offense and excellent defense. I think Bama will beat LSU by 14 at home. If OU can get by @KSU and @OSU, the title game should be epic.
