I'm not sure who is in more of it, him or his wife.
Tommy Tuberville has been listed in a federal suit that alleges the former Auburn coach and his partner defrauded investors out of more than $1.7 million.

Peace-From where I stand it appears they are both in deep dodo.
JoeP they must be so proud of their decision now, huh? TT AD and Pres should be run out of town.
I was just referencing the lulu comment and wondered if I missed something. I have commented on this before way way back when Leach got fired. I have a friend who is a huge donor and his company is Tech's biggest football sponsor. He attends Tech home and away games. Although slow to adjust to Leach at my encouragement told him eventually he would love him. This guy and Spike Dikes were inseperable. In the end he dealt with Leach on a regular business and met with him on a regular business. He really ended up liking Leach but really admired his coaching abilities.
Anyway I called him right after Leach was fired and he was distraught about the whole thing. I was surprised though that he was not livid with the the Tech Administration. Actuall the best description was that he was put out by both Leach and the Tech leaders. He informed me that Leach would not get any money from Tech other than the salary left due him on his contract. He said although he disagreed with the Tech administration for not working things out with Leach that Leach had been his own worst enemy. He said the Chancellor and AD wanted Leach to stay but that Hance the regent was really out for blood.
He said Leach had continued to cause headaches to Tech from just about the day he got there. He said that Leach had really worn out his welcome and his agent. Leach was demanding Mack Brown and Bob Stoops money but more importantly wanted no buyout. Leach and his agent tried to make it look like that Miami,Washington, and Auburn had all shown interest him and it was a lie they had not. But the real straw that broke the camel's back was right after the James incident Leach just really went haywire and gave them lots of fuel in taped recordings and memos that sealed his fate in his lawsuit. Had he handled things differently there might have been a different outcome. These actions kept him from getting the Maryland job when the owner and former player at Maryland of Under Armour couldn't get Leach hired. When all the background work was done on Leach and his past the guy backed off his demands.
Now let me make certain that I think Leach is a whale of a coach and I said right after he got fired that Tech would never reach the heights they did with Leach. It is a shame for both Tech and Leach as they both lost in that fiasco. Leach should be at a much better school. But the lesson learned regardless how good you are at what you do if you aren't the boss there comes a time that if you wear him out that is it.
I too love it that Tech locals (business people and administration) were all ranting and raving about Tuberville because he went and talked to every Rotary and Kiwanis Club in West Texas and was such a joy as a coach to work with by the entire Athletic Department. Now look at things. Pretty comical. And I might add I am so happy James is a bust in the senate race. What a fake and a tool.
I don't see how Tuberville is the bad guy in this case. The story makes it seem like he, a "celebrity", is on the periphery of a shady investment firm and that he may or may not have anything to do with the firm's downfall. At least that's what I gathered.
The other thing I thought about is that I'm glad Stoops has never been implicated in something like this.
