Mario Edwards.....on Texas sideline? *

James - Any insight on this? Isn't Texas as the home team the only one that can entertain recruits at this game? I didn't realize that Edwards was thinking about Texas in addition to us and FSU. I haven't heard but will DGB be at this game too?
Hope the arm is doing OK.

Just cause he is going to the game doesn't mean he is considering Texas. He could just simply being using them to get to goto the game and no matter what sideline he's on he will be able to watch OU beat the hell out of Texas.

Doesn't surprise me that he is interested in Texas. If I was a top tier recruit, I would look into all of the top programs and Texas is a top program. At the end of the day, it will be all about "fit". I just hope we are the right "fit" for Edwards. I see him as a game changing DT that we could really use.

Texas is not the designated "home team" this year; we are. All Big-12-2-1-(1?) teams have to play road games at place they played one last year. Texas told Dan 'Bevo' Beebe, that they'd be the 'visitor' at the RRR again this year and he said "ok, Deloss, whatever you say is fine with."
So if Mario is going to the game as an invited recruit of the home team, he'll be there with the Sooners.

It does not really concern me that he is visiting with Bevo as a host.. He is still committed to FSU, he has visited our campus twice this season! Has he even visited the UT campus? I am pretty sure he has not, I may be wrong though. Also, Jeffcoat was different, he was going to decide between OU and UT... All we can do is take care of business and show Mario that Bevo will be getting the cattle prod for many years to come!

If U wins this like they should, it may be a moot issue. And Canyoneer who knows A LOT more about football than I would ever hope to thinks OU wins big..although I am a bit nervous.

and this is exactly why we should have left this crappy conference with cu. if you're making a schedule and you see that the team that had the best chance to go to the bcs championship game was OU with all their returning players/stars and yet you pick fexas as the team with the favoable schedule and you make OU do a return trip to pokie state then there's something wrong with your thinking. i hate this crappy conference and i hate that fexas always gets their way whenever a rule doesn't somehow favor them. and now we are going to add yet another member of the texas voting parade to this conference. CRAP.
