Am hopeful on this player. There will be an opening or two next year as Alexander is a senior and R. Lewis could turn pro. Like the current backups but the team could always use another stud.

I really hope this game helps with Edwards, but nothing from that game wouldn't have him excited about playing defense for Mark.

Unless you look at their DE from Germany....Werner, I think. That man was a handful for our tackles.

I'm not sure I follow your post you start out like your going to disagree with me, but then you basically agree with me?

Just based on all the stuff I've read in the weekend wrap ups and other threads, I'd be really surprised if we got the kid. Would love to have him no doubt, and OU did nothing to hurt whatever chance they have with Mario. Proximity may come into play, as will the depth and the outgoing players (for sure Alexander and while I hope not, Lewis may be gone next year as well). I think those two things could very well help us in landing him.

On the other side, Florida State, even with their loss, did nothing to hurt their chances either. That atmosphere was sick. You hear that Doak Campbell hasn't been that loud in ten years. With the recruiting halls they've made over the past few years, FSU is only going to get better and remain relevant for the foreseeable future, so you know that has to be attractive as well, especially with the family ties to FSU.

Slight edge still lies with FSU, but as James would say, the world of recruiting is a crazy thing and I think we still have a real shot at the kid. Will be interesting to see how this plays out for sure.
