  • Classy. He belongs at LSU. Makes me even happier at the prison love Alabama gave them in the MNC.

  • Saban and ole Les should both be taken out behind the barn and have the $hit kicked out of them. They may be good football coaches...but their scruples and decency are over the top deplorable!!

  • I can't stand him, but I have to admit he's a really good coach and seems to have an edge on Stoops (head to head and NC's)

    Really? Based on what?

Head-to-head, he's 2-2 against Stoops. And he has one national title, just like Stoops.

What's more, that title was won on a virtual home field at the Superdome (the only place LSU's ever won a national title, if my memory serves me). And LSU only played in that game because Stoops' Sooners took care of the #1-ranked Missouri Tigers in the Big 12 title game, opening a spot in the national championship game for LSU.

Man, some fans are quick to give credit to other coaches and programs that they refuse to give to our own.

  • I'm not a Les Miles fan, but what he said is sort of true. When schools were recruiting him, he made it a point to tell them that he would not go to a school that took in another QB. To me this says "I don't want to work very hard to compete". "I don't like competition". When I saw this, I didn't want him here at all. That's a cancer type of attitude and it spreads pretty quickly. Les should not have said it, but I don't think he's far off on Gunner.

I agree with you about what he said being true but there are some things you do not do in a public forum and bash recruits for a change of mind is one of them but I guess if he keeps winning all will be forgotten. I also think he will be getting his ass kicked by BAMA when ever they meet for a long time, he may be wishing soon that he took the Michigan job.

Actually there were about 4 or 5 teams that had the same record and a legitimate claim to be in that game in 2007, and we were one of them. They got the nod that year because they were the preseason # 1.........Just like we probably would have this year over Alabama had we only been a 1 loss team.

  • If any of you are on twitter, you MUST follow "The Quotable Les Miles". Classic. This line is a normal line for Les. In other words, you sort of get what he meant but you have no idea exactly what he is saying.

If you aren't on twitter, you can still see his priceless gems on the web: http://www.thequotablelesmiles.com/

    Here's a few I just pulled:

""Any play that is three or four yards is certainly a positive. Anything in excess of three or four yards would have to be based on the criteria or need of the first down."

"There's never been a question that they were going to have this summer to prepare. And they have."

"I suspect that in many instances the game before the one we just played was a turning point and will call to life some dormant aggression and want to fight."

This was his first NC? I thought he won one a few years ago. He's been the only one in many years to beat an SEC team in a NC game! lol And come on, 2-2 vs Stoops is definitely advantage Les considering he was at OSU and even beat OU at Owen field! Look at OSU's all time record vs OU.

I wouldn't trade Stoops for anyone, especially Les, but I've had to admit that Les is a great coach. That's really hard for me to do.
