OK, I'm not nearly the Landry fan that most of you are but he is our QB so good luck to him this season. I too agree that he has thrown for alot of yards and alot of TDs but at times his quality of play leaves you scratching your head. He also has thrown alot of ints. Not all his fault but many that just simply could have been avoided. Not sure if he isn't trusting his mechanics or if he is just poorly off on his reads. It also doesn't help that WRs at times can't be trusted to do what is right either. Look folks this offense is designed for the QB to sling it around so his numbers, while impressive, are not unexpected. I mean he will be a 4 year starter. What we need from him this year is leadership of this offense. The other thing that will help Landry out tremendously is a sound defense to back him up.We can bash him for Baylor Tech and OSU but a solid defense and this discussion would be moot.
I think some people will almost be offended if Landry leads OU to an undefeated season, throws for 5,500 yards and wins the Heisman. That will invalidate their negativity since 2009.
