I think they are truly about equal on the market. Mike was being offered DC jobs NOT HC jobs....they same with Brent. IMO.

Of our current staff, BV would most definately be the next head coach to replace Stoops. When Bob verbally agreed to the UF job, he assumed Mike would replace him. Boren is not going to hire Mike.

I also don't buy what your implying that Bob didn't goto Florida because Boren wasn't going to hire Mike if that was the case he would have just took Mike with him to Florida. I don't see Boten taking a chance on an unproven coach when Bob retires things are much different than they were when we hired Bob. Going out and getting a proven big name coach would not be a problem for OU right now and probably won't be when Bob retires.
