Since it does not seem Justin McCay will break in at receiver has the staff or Justin himself ask to be moved to defense. Maybe LB or S?
He seems like a strong, athletic player that could help somewhere.

I still think he will get a chance at WR, But with us being thin at TE I'd rather see him put some weight on and be pass catching TE.

It's only game 9 of his redshirt freshman season. It may be a bit premature to say he won't break in to the lineup.

True. I would say that with the underclassmen ahead of him and the possibility of new ones coming in, it may be better for the team and him to get an early start on another position. Hard to change to new position late in your career.

I was thinking the same thing about TE. We are obviously short of bodies there and he has the height. If he could put the weight on and learn the blocking technique, he could be a potential weapon there. Will be interesting to see if anything develops for him over the next 9-12 months.

This...give him some time. He has a lot of experience in front of him now and next year he could see some real PT. He needs to take advantage of it because we have some serious reinforcements coming in next year. I am ready to see him on the field though.
