I am for the quarterback that can win a lot of games, shows toughness, leadership, command of the offense and game time awareness. My question is how will the other QBs react if they don't win the job?

My reasoning is simple "BULK/Power". Our advantage over a lot of teams including the SEC is that we have a ton of players with starting experience on the OL coming back.

The current group of Oline were recruited for there athletism and pass blocking ability more so than there size, strength and ability to run block. I think we can certainly be better at running the ball especially if we emphasize it and Josh actually calls the game that way, but to think we are gonna be able to just power over everyone is a reach as we don't have the type of lineman for that.

I think right now, Bell is definitely the favorite. But, I also think that Trevor Knight is a legit contender for the job. If Bell is the guy, I don't think you'll see a ground-and-pound offense, but I also don't think they'll throw it as much as they did last season. Like Stoops mentioned, you will see the QB run game a lot more this season.

For the record & before Mule get's on here & think that I am bashing TK. I happen to like him & his abilities, actually like him more so than BB. However, I understand why BB gets media hype cause he played in the game & is actually the #2, so naturally many would just make the logical assumption that he will be #1. TK however good is gonna be just hasn't earned in my opinion all the major hype that he is given by media. Not just yet, it's ok to be excited about what he might bring, but to go as far as they have this soon when you have another QB that is capable of bringing the same skill sets & has been here longer & done at least something during a spring game & practice running the regular offense & quite honestly the same when he ran the scout team but no love, Well I beginning to see why a lot of minorities are questioning things. But as some say, this is a red state & the reality still remains that the minority QB will always have to prove he is a Qb while others are given that. So I am not doubting TK or bashing him, just the people that have hype him up & their reason for it. Sorry, just my opinion on the matter. If it bothers anyone, then just fly right by it & ignore.

My question is how will Bell act if he doesn't win the job. Everyone has already anointed him the job & I'm sure he had fed into that a tadbit. I hear that competition started as soon as the cotton bowl ended & they have been competing every Wed with 7 on 7 competition for the past 5 wks. One would think Bell would be running circles around the other 2 with all the experience everyone says he has but #'s show differently. Thompson 12 td/1 int. Bell 6 td/5 int . Knight 4 td/ 6 int. But players saying Thompson is shredding the defense & looks more comfortable & if coaches asked the players to make their choice today (most skill players & db's) Thompson would be their unanimous choice. I am telling most of you are just seriously under estimating this kids talents & Qb IQ & abilities. Spring will be his coming out party. Book it!
