I get tired of this, every year. I still think he is not going to UF.

until I hear Bob say it directly that he is going anywhere, everything is just BS and ridiculous speculation. He was recruiting for OU just the other day and I know he skipped out on the after practice interview but people will read into anything they want. Stoops is not going anywhere, this should be END OF STORY!!!

Well it's not the end of story. I agree that Bob has a lot to look forward to here, with the current crop of young players and a top 3 recruiting class. But he may feel this is his last chance, change is good, lots of connections in Florida, etc., and that the talent currently in the program will keep OU strong under new leadership. You may be right that he stays, I hope so with the future so bright. But it's too quiet and there's too much legitimate speculation to rule it out. He can make a case for either outcome, I'm sure. The crop of contenders isn't that compelling so he stands out as a man among boys. I personally would like to see Leach or Peterson there, or even Spurrier for a last hurrah. But I'm nervous, despite all the reassurances on this board and all the criticism of people like me who sense something different in the wind this time. Hope I'm wrong (as I'm sure you will tell me I am).

With all do respect to James, who is as close as any media person to Bob, I don't think Bob has confided in James one way or another. James hasn't really addressed these latest rumors and I think James was taken back a bit by Bob being a no show at the press conference. I respect Bob for not pulling a Les Miles and saying he was staying at a press conference one minute and then leaving for another job the next.

And which of those sources is actually reliable?

And how many sources have said the same thing about Bob leaving in years past, only to be proven wrong year after year after year?

This exact sequence of events has happened multiple times in the past, and Stoops is still here. And yet some of our fans line up on annual basis to panic over every rumor that gets floated.

Well bruth - WHY? Every year it's the same thing. Bob must make a statement! WHY? Every year someone like you says BOB MUST MAKE A STATEMENT. WHY??

As for ESPN from an upper post. They are the worst sports network of all time. They went from reporting news to out and out overtly trying to influence college football years ago. They want to create the news, not report it.

They get it wrong more than right and they parrot the times they get it right and never mention the times they get it wrong. If ESPN went out of business tomorrow it would be one of the single greatest media events of all time.
