I think that the past three games have cost Landry to fall significantly in the upcoming draft. While he still may be one of the top 20 players taken, these have to cost him some big bucks. I think he felt secure with Broyles, but without him he has lost some confidence in his receivers(justifiably) and in himself. I think he is suited for playing in a fair weather city or one with a dome. Clearly, he is not suitable for Green Bay or say, Chicago. Just my opinion.

The backup is always the better player. I'll certainly credit Blake with being able to run the football, expecially in short yardage situations. However, we don't really know how he'll react throwing the ball in game situations;. He may have thown more than three times this year, I really don't remember, but I believe his last three passes resulted in two incompletions and an interception.

He seems like a great kid and you have to admire his dedication to his religion. After all is said I would like to thank him for all he’s done at OU and wish him well in whatever direction he decides to take his life. That being said he just doesn’t have “IT” when it comes to being a high level QB. At least that’s what I see in his play that I’ve watched. It’s hard to put your finger on just what he would need to accomplish to be referred to as an NFL quality QB. All I can tell you is I haven’t seen it in him. I saw it in Sam and a few others but not in LJ. Last night we just saw an accumulation of things that we have seen at one time or another as we have watched him play through the years here. Things like the fumble while running in the wrong direction, the ball that flew out of his hand when he cocked his arm to make a pass, falling down when the defender slapped him on the backside as he ran by him and the over thrown, under thrown and uncatchable balls he’s thrown. Oh I know he’s thrown some downright beautiful passes in his career and those have led us to give him a pass when he has one of his “what the hell was that” moments. But he just doesn’t have “It” not many folks do so it’s not that he’s not in good company he’s just not in the company of those QB’s that have “IT”.

How far did Landry fall in the NFL draft?
