"America is a country that was designed by geniuses so that it could be run by idiots.”
It’s always been my experience that when playing against a good QB you seem to have the most success if you insure that he spends more time looking through the ear-hole of his helmet than the face-mask.
"With Nebraska trying to leave, we felt like we needed to send them out with a loss, and we did." -Ryan Broyles-
Kidnap Manziel the night before the game.
The last time we had a big game against a Heisman winning QB we had a MLB’er tell him that he had his boy’s trophy and he was coming to get it back. I don’t think he got the boy’s trophy but I can tell you he didn’t have a Heisman kind of night that night. The boy is good that’s for sure but the bottom line is that nobody is ever as good as everybody makes him out to be. I don’t know if we are up for the challenge but the boy can be stopped. Florida and LSU both found a way to stop him and they just had the perfect storm against Alabama. I don’t know if we can win or not I do know that all the press is over them getting by Alabama on a down day for ‘Bama.
I guess we will just see what we will see. We are down in some key areas on defense so we are going to be giving up some yards. I look for this one to turn into a shootout so it will probably turn into a defensive battle. It should be a good game, I just hope we can do enough good to come out ahead.
While our defense has been leaky this year especially towards the end, it will be difficult to think that Mike can't come up with something that Johnny Football hasn't seen. He beats you with his legs and improvising. Force him to stay in the pocket and make him have to throw the ball. Win first down and force them into passing situations. Keep containment. Use different looks to confuse him. But, first and foremost, our best defense might be our offense. Get ahead and hopefully get our passing game working and run game to be effective-keeping Johnny Football off the field is our best hope.
