Gilbert Done?

Looks like Case McCoy has taken over and the Gilbert era is done. Can't say I'm surprised by this. Texas isn't very good again this year. I don't think they are going to get a win against BYU.

I remember 1.5 years ago and a certain poster, who shall remain nameless, was arguing with me: He was telling me that Gilbert Grape was going to be better than Landry Jones. I'm glad i didn't buy THAT for a dollar!!!!
I like the prospect of facing either McCoy, or Gilbert, OR both!!!! YAY!!!!Texas SUCKS!!!

I can only hope gilbert grape plays against us, I may bet my house on OU.
BYU is playing ALOT of freshman...is Texas really this bad......I hope so, I love it.,...Ha!

You might wanna re-think that bet before the game.
I believe we're gonna beat them big. But OU - UT is one of those games that the record doesn't matter. You never know who's gonna win the game.
Bet the game, we're gonna win, but you might hold back the house.

No way GG starts again. He was awful, and both the other two played far better.
It is also readily apparent that the rest of the UT players played better when GG was benched.

Yeah...and we weren't a very good football team at that point. Just like Texas isn't very good right now.

I think he's done. UT can't resist the idea of McCoy/Shipley. It's like our return to the option years ago....they are stuck in the past.

The interesting thing to me is that they ran off Connor Wood so they are down to 2 qbs - McCoy and Ash. I saw Connor play a lot in high school and am biased but I think he's pretty good. In any case, QB is clearly not a position of depth for Texas.
