I agree but unfortunately the way he ended last season I doubt that was an option. Kind of let himself and the team down a bit IMO. Regardless I think he has a lot of potential and hope he has a great career in the NFL.

If my memory serves me correctly there were grade and family issues with the family issues hastening the need to work.

Some of the commentators on siriusxm nfl channel were insinuating that Ronnell was told by the coaches to leave the program late last season. They pretty much said it wasn't a clean break. I wouldn't have brought it up but Gil Brandt is pretty respected in a lot of circles. Does anyone know if this is true or not.

yes its true. Ronnell quit going to classes so what other choice did the coaches have. I really liked RL and was really rooting for him, still do, but he is vince young dumb. Probably because he doesnt try.

RL is a true physical talent. Once he finds a position, presuming he is smart enough, he has the physical presence to be a long term NFL player.
The bigger issue is what happened to Travis Lewis. At this time last year, he was roundly thought to be a first or second round pick. What happened to his stock?

Ronnell Lewis has a child whom he's trying to take care of and needs to make a living- fast! He's being a good FATHER to his kids....it's called priorities. Remember Jimmy Wilkerson? He had family issues- left early- was starting for the Chiefs a year later.

He will be special in the NFL. I do think he will be play this year and will make a different for the Panther.
