This was tweeted by Tahaan Goodman, a visitor in Norman right now. It was posted on TOS.
It's getting comical in Norman now.
Mid major staff.

Hmmm... Little early to declare a organizational cluster f. Not a good first impression, however.

There is nothing more dangerous in this world than a man with nothing to lose.
Sooners don't need anymore candy fannies! I say they should thank this young man for his time this weekend and send him on his way!
If this is the truth wow unacceptable
I don't know how it's not true it's coming right from the player.
They picked him up in a limo at the airport then didn't have a host for him on his visit. It just doesn't make any sense. If this staff canceled Junior Day to concentrate on the 2013 recruits, then they just proved how inept they are if they dropped the ball on the 2013 recruits as well.
ABSOLUTELY UNACCEPTABLE! This young man is a four star prospect and the 4th best safety prospect according to rivals and the 4th best player in the state of California. If the page I looked at is correct, OU is one of the two official visits he's taking. OU should be pulling out all the stops to get a player like this! You want to compete with the big boys and stop sharing conference championships, then start recruiting like it!!!!!!!

uh, I'll answer for bob. I dont care what you think. I run this SOB and I'll do what I want to.
Unacceptable, sure. However, this kid hasn't played a down for any college yet and the first thing he can think to do when he hits town is get on his twitter app and start expressing his opinions. He's 17 or 18. If this is his biggest concern, perhaps it is a harbinger of what is to come....getting a little tired of the self-important generation.
Another Cali tweeter..... I'll pass.
"You can come to Oklahoma and win championships or you can go somewhere else and watch us win championships"
The King-Barry Switzer
Agree with all posts. It's completely unacceptable. Maybe the players laziness and lack of attention to detail in the A&M game are a direct reflection of the coaches half a-ing this recruiting thing. That said if this guy is this worried about it send him packing.
I've heard there was at least one kid, from Houston, who had already purchased plane tickets to come up for Jr Day. There are a lot of pissed kids. Worse than the Beavers deal last yr.
Every HS kid in America tweets.
I'm sure there were a number of kids like that. Terrible. I hate to pile on, but I cannot believe all the mess-ups this staff has had in recruiting. Can you imagine the fury that Saban would have if this happened on his watch at Bama? And that's why it never would...
Not to be alarmist, but if this is true, this program is in complete disarray. I am sure there is some kind of misunderstanding/miscommunication, but can someone like James get word ASAP to whomever coordinates this stuff that this recruit has tweeted this?
That's funny - one thing that crossed my mind is that I'm sure none on the staff even know its an issue. Do you think any user Twitter? No. Only Norvell does/did, and he totally f'd it up and committed massive secondary violations. This staff is just out of touch and not on the cutting edge to impress recruits. It's sad to see, frankly. Need some energy...
Really? I would have thought that our coaches would use twitter to at least follow the kids we are interested in. I know there are not enough hours in the day to get everything in, but if I were a coach (and in particular, if I were recruiting a particular position, or if I were recruiting coordinator), I would follow these kids to try to get an idea of how/what they were thinking about it all. If they truly aren't on social media, someone needs to do a seminar and get them up to speed. I am 52 yrs old and use Twitter/FB socially as well as for business. Change with the times or risk going the way of the dinosaurs!
Think we need to get all the facts first. Hard to believe the staff would do this on purpose--if true.
If it is true, then I would tend to believe Murphy's Law and/or a forgetful student athlete has a hand in this.
This staff has landed too many great players to suddenly forget what they're doing.
No one is happy about the way we played (especially on defense) this year. Let's not go crazy because of a
tweet--Heck, the host could have been running 5 minutes late and the kid was bored and tweeted.
Let's see what the facts are before releasing the hounds.
Exactly! For all anyone knows this situation could have sorted itself out 3 minutes after the kid's tweet. If it did, one would expect another tweet to say "All is well in Swellsville...." Unfortunately I don't expect that to be the case. Complain and be entitled. Oh, and by the way, I am not old.
