You aren't RS them and there touches will be limited at WR as they are basically 5th and 6th receivers. Shepard could possibly be considered the 4th receiver, but it's to early to say that he will play more than Bester especially since Stills is in the slot and we know he isn't coming off the field very often. So why not take advantage of there ability on special teams mainly KR? I mean we all know that Clay is not a threat to run one back and yes I'm not a fan of him, but he just doesn't have the speed required. Finch who is really explosive and elusive doesn't seem to fit as a KR as he likes to go side to side rather north and south making me think he would be exciting as a PR guy. So now you have two extremely talented freshman who made KR's look easy in high school and your not gonna use them? What happened to our special teams? We used to have great units, because we took chances and used guys with game breaking ability as our return men. Now it just seems we go the safe route of who isn't going to fumble a single punt or return rather than who is going to go 95 to the house. Now Broyles was solid and I am interested to see how Brown does returning punts, but since Murray's freshman year there's been nothing special about our special teams. It's been 3 or 4 years since we've returned a kick for a touchdown and it's been at least 2 since we've returned a punt for a touchdown.
"With Nebraska trying to leave, we felt like we needed to send them out with a loss, and we did." -Ryan Broyles-
That Travis Lewis, Tom Wort pic you have is bad arse!
As 5th and 6th receivers, they will get some play in our O. Re KR, they may have a bigger role as the season progresses. Since we don't have to start them, maybe they don't want to over-pressure a freshman on the road in the first game as a Sooner ... just a guess. We have not had a game yet and we have no idea how this is going to play out. Nothing has been wasted yet.

Haven't even seen a single down of the new season and the coach second guessing is already in full swing on OUI........
Durron Neal should probably RS, even though I'm betting he'll be excellent. I think Shepherd will see the field a LOT more than you think. Stills' has to come out you know. Also, I think Justin Brown and Finch sound good; even though we don't really know yet for sure!
