Basically Baker continued to tell everyone including James that OU was still recruiting him through phone calls, in home visits, etc long after OU was no longer recruiting him. He wanted to build up some bogus signing day drama for attention. He would actually tell James that coaches were going to visit him on a particular day and James would check his sources within the staff and determine that it was completely false. By that time Baker had already informed the coaches that he was going to Clemson and OU had moved on. Apparently this went on for quite some time leading up to signing day.
Sorry about that. I had a post right after that which didn't go through. It wasn't deleted, my phone just sucks. 83,000 explained very well. That whole thing is just bizarre to me.

I'm telling you this Knight kid has closed the gap on Bell. It reminds me of the summer Stoops announced Bradford would start when everyone assumed Nichol would.
