Add as you see fit.
TEXAS has the BEST defense in the Big 12.
As none of us know how well he protects the QB, I am willing to let the coaches decide when DD Williams starts. He looks good but let's let the coaches decide this one.
Brown did look special returning punts. One does not usually see tall kids who are good at it, but he is. He sure carries himself with dignity.
Finch is not one of the top three RB's. The coaches have put in a package for him at the slot. That and returning KO's may be it for him.
Millard is a football playing maniac. The guy can flat out block, carry the ball and catch it.
Phillips and Anderson did look pretty good but FAMU had a new set of OL in the game when they played.
The Big 10 doesn't look to be very good. Wisconsin lost, Michigan was terrible agains the Tide last week, Nebraska doesn't look great, Iowa lost to ISU, Wisconsin lost and Ohio State didn't look good.
ND will have trouble with us if we stay healthy.
USC, FSU and OU are probably pretty close to the same quality of team. Which one of the three will get better.
Bill Snider can indeed coach.
Missouri got blown out on their home field and A&M lost to an average Florida team on their home field - not a good showing in my opinion.
Texas has the best defense because they shut out the worst team in D-1 football??? Yeah go ahead and crown them.
New Mexico worse than UTEP? Okay, how about FAMU?
TEXAS HAS THE BEST DEFENSE IN THE BIG 12.
UTEP scores only 10 at Ole Miss.
FAMU scored ONLY 14 last week against TENN ST.
TEXAS HAS THE BEST DEFENSE IN THE BIG 12.
Does TX have 3 of their top DTs not playing Or other comporable missing players in their defense?
Go away, troll.
NO, THAT IS WHY THEY HAVE THE BEST DEFENSE IN THE BIG 12. EXCUSES, EXCUSES....
We get it. Big deal...you are a shorthorn. Good for you.
Yes, New Mexico is worse than UTEP, and probably FAMU as well.
Stills drop was quite special - let's calm down the rhetoric on him
Can you guys not have an unbiased opinion, or do you just NOT know football?
I know a little about football AND I know how to recognize idiots..... Idiot.
Why don't you indulge? Explain?
Your right, you know a "little".
Lets see, you're going to tell someone they know little and you start with "your right".
In an attempt to increase your self professed superior football knowledge there are at least 3 high schools in NM that could hold UNM scoreless. The Lobos could well be the worst team in Div. 2 if they were in that div.
Yes, and that someone told me he knew little.
Those same high schools you speak of would hold FAMU scoreless, with their suspended players on O.
"As none of us know how well he protects the QB, I am willing to let the coaches decide when DD Williams starts. He looks good but let's let the coaches decide this one."
I didn't realize we (i.e. fans) had the ability to take the decision making away from the coaches?
Your right what? Is it like your right arm?
I think you meant you're right. So you're right you know a little… what?
See? It makes little sense.
Ok, I'll bite. I don't think Texas has done anything to distinguish themselves as the "BEST DEFENSE IN THE BIG 12" just yet. They have given an average of 286 yards per game to their two opponents and 17 points. New Mexico, as much as you might argue, was a worse team than UTEP last year. 1-11 in the Mountain West.
We have given up an average of 45 yards less per game than they have, and only 13 points defensively. Plus, I'm going to throw in that we opened the season on the road, while Texas hasn't left Austin yet.
So, I don't understand why you can definitively say that TEXAS HAS THE BEST DEFENSE IN THE BIG 12 based on two games. They might, but it's prob way too early too tell and stats don't quite back it up yet.
Yeah, they had the best D last year too! Except at the Cotton bowl against us! Blah blah blah... Same TEXASS different year and no QB.
Who does stubby?
Their fans don't believe so anymore. They think last year's was better. They start 3 new linebackers and they've been gashed at times against two weak teams.
I suspect we will see a lot more of Millard in the KSU and Texas games.
- Green has soft hands. A pleasant surprise
