1: by all means, if the roll out by the qb, tightend in the flat, or tight end drag across the field works for a nice yardage, can they please run the play again? It seems as if there are times, OU calls a great play, and it worked for a good gain, and the coaches never go back to that play again. I watch everygame with many OU friends, if im
not at the game, and we all tend to just shake our heads wondering why Josh or even wilson never went back to a great play that went for positive yards.....
2: I would love to see landry behind the center more, so that play action actually might work.., Everyone knows by now that Jones is not going to run the ball...
3: a few trick plays, reverses, tightend reverse, maybe even a rb throwing the ball.. keep the def coordinators guessing.. So many times I and again my friends knew the play based on down and distance, hash mark or middle of field. OU is way too predictable at times and I would like to see more diversity Maybe with our new play makers, we will see more bubble screens, than most seasons.. or a middle screen to our running backs.....
4: the wheel route should be a major weapon for us this year.. Running back out of the backfield, faking the flat and down the sidelines... im hoping they call this play more than once!!!
5: I would love to see the ninja set, with all these playmakers, landry will light it up!!
6: i would love to see a regular pace off drive as well.. the uptempo is awesome, but a nice slow pace drive would be fun to watch!!
7: our offense is explosive... Very fun to watch, With all these playmakers, im
just hoping our diversityin playcalling, shows up as well with losing our predictability of what play they run next!!

Adversity or diversity?
I would like to see us line up like a real football program and have an O LIne that can knock a defender OFF the ball whereby we can run it up said team's ARSE!!! (Remember like we did when AD was a freshman- like other teams can do when needed.) I want to see us ONLY do trickery when we ABSOLUTELY feel like it. Kind of an adult offense as it were.
thank you sooner dm.. good grief, Not sure what I was thinking, lol... at least you were kind and not rude like others here. Im human, yes I make mistakes.... lol
Most defenses have figured out the "ninja". It concentrates your playmakers in one spot and actually makes them easier to defend. That's the reason you don't see it as much as you did 3 or 4 years ago. Let's line up and kick their tail! You can't defend brute force.
So many times I have seen the whole side of the field open if LJ would fake a handoff and bootleg to the other side. Its always open bigtime.
ILove you got an up vote from me. We run the same read option that Northwestern runs where the QB is reading the defense and if it is collapsing on the running back the NW QB would pull the ball out and pick up some good yardage. We run it and our QB NEVER pulls the ball out to run it so there is no reason for the defense to worry about him. I know he isn't rg3 but don't run the dang play if you aren't going to even threaten to have the QB run the ball.
Hands on as game dictates, not a playlist printed a week before and followed even in fire.
I would love to see Landry run the ball once or twice a game. He doesn't have to take a hit just take what is available once or twice a game even if the running play is for slightly less yardage than a potential passing play that might be a tough throw. This would make a huge difference in softening up the coverage or pass rush because someone would have to keep an eye on Jones.
The last thing I want to see is the RB throw the ball!
I want to see success running the football. If we run then the play action will work.
Agree on Landry running if open.
I'd also like to see if we are up by 28+ points at the half, to let BB run the real offense with the first team, hopefully getting a little playing time all the way down to Thompson at QB--all of them in attack mode, not just running the clock out.
I'd like to see more of a mix of QB under center and play action with vertical plays. This seems to be where we are least predictable.
And I also agree with use of trick plays to increase the uncertainty of the offense.
You want us to look like we do every year the first series of the Texas game? Me too
We can't do that. We have to try to get Landry a Heisman.
I do not want to see Landry run the ball period! It is not good for him to do so as he is not all that mobile and his lack of doing so never cost us a game, this is not a run and shoot offense and he will get killed doing what most here wants him to do. He has been injury free for a reason so what I want to see is guys getting open, catching all the balls thrown to them and the O-line blocking and keeping the passing lanes clear so he does not have to run at all. The guys talking about his accuracy need to watch more closely as we have not done a good job of keeping defenders hands down making him adjust a good many passes, did anyone pay attention to the excessive amount of batted balls? In particular the Baylor game?
The throw back to Blake Bell is a no brainer
The two best professional rookies in 2010 and both from Oklahoma City,Oklahoma.
I'd like to see the wishbone on the first series against te whorns.
My only two are attempt running the ball a bit more. Just for the sole purpose of giving your defense more than 4 seconds of breathing time between series.
The other, get the ball in Millards hands. It reminds me of people screaming to get Keith Jackson the ball. Special players need to ball to make special plays.
