A former Sooner vs a former Horn. I'll always have a place in my heart for Kevin Sumlin. He was one of our best special teams coaches ever, and man, did he turn out to be a helluva head coach. We were all pulling for him @ Houston. Will Muschamp, on the other hand... well, he needn't not ever been @ UT, and I'd find it hard to pull for him. I was very turned off by his coaching style when Florida was featured last season during preseason. I remember him running onto the field during games @ UT when he should have stayed cool and on the sidelines like Sumlin does.
Sumlin is a very classy coach and its going to be fun watching him in the SEC. I don't wish anything negative to A&M, or Missouri for that matter, for leaving. I still think those two programs are going to have a surprise or two in store for the SEC in their first year.
Some might want to see A&M and Mizzou crash and burn for leaving the Big XII and for a moment, weakening the conference, which has responded quite well. Those two schools really just never could win the conference, either. So along with SEC money they don't have to play OU every year, either.
In my mind, I think these A&M and Missouri wins will only reflect how strong the Big XII really was and still is.
I'm pulling for A&M. Who do ya'll WANT to win?
That's who I am... a Sooner.
Kevin is one of the good guys and I want to see him do well. That said, I feel about ATM the same as I do about MO, CO, and NEB: nothing.
To me, it's a lot like your spouse coming home one day, telling you she's found somebody she likes better, and doesn't want to be married to you anymore. OK hon, if that's the way you want it, hit the road. I don't wish you ill or well, just gone. I'll get on with my life just fine.
Good luck in your ATM debut, Kevin. ATM? Who gives a $hit.
I am the morning DJ on WOLD
A & M and Mizzou
Confidence is preparation. Everything else is beyond our control.
A&M a good beatdown would put a dent into the SEC greatness BS.
As iron sharpens iron, so one man sharpens another. Proverbs 27:17
why wouldn't you want A&M to win? I have no problem with the Aggs.
P.S. I hope Josh is watching this game. Just one series and their offense looks pretty good. They actually know how to spread the ball around, change formations, and exploit matchups.....what a novel idea.
"The way I figure it, everyone takes a beating..."
I like Sumlin.
There is joy to be had in the Big 12's 7th place team (out of 10) beating Florida.
greatness BS? I admit I get sick of hearing about the SEC, but how do you argue with 6 in a row? If the Big12 won 6 in a row wed be pounding our chests too.
SEC is the best conference in the country hands down....it it might not be close.
I hate ATM, I always have, however I do like Sumlin.
Muschamp is in big trouble if he can't get it going this season. I've always thought that he was a jerk so it wouldn't bother me one bit. If he does get fired, look for UF to make one last big push for Bob Stoops, can he turn it down for the fourth time?
At the top yes, Alabama, LSU. The rest, OU would be favored. Put one SEC team in the BG12 week in week out they would struggle with the different high powered offenses the BG12 has to offer. Just my opinion, no stats to back it up. Who's with me Boomer SOONER!
