He has been limping heavily since the Texas game I believe. I have been impressed at the way he battles through it every week!!! What a warrior...
Also, my son and I had to put up with osu fans all around us in section 230. I wish Sooner fans wouldn't sell their tickets to fans from other teams. But I have to admit it was nice having them around on the last play!
Shead is a warrior. He is half of what he normally is.
I have nothing but the highest respect and praise for that whole offensive line group! Those guys have played like warriors all year!
Given all of the losses to the offensive line, as a group they have played very well. They're a tough, beaten up crew.
It's has been a rough year on them. I wonder how much better the run game would have been if they could have all stayed healthy. But it was good enough on the last play last night!!!
OU had 103 offensive plays with only 1 sack. I think one of the reasons we scored in 2 plays in OT was the OSU defense was worn out. It would be interesting to see the number of plays by each member of the OL. We didn't have much depth, so the OL had to be in there 90+ plays each.
I bet each of them slept well after they finished celebrating.
Shead is a stud. Great Sooner.
i was so proud of adam and the whole line, they blocked and protected our team, adam was limpin so bad going back each time and lane was too, say what u want about this line but they fight every play and are givin us a hell of a season considerin the conditions and losses of other players, thank u O line
It it is remarkable how well this depleted offensive line has protected our QB who is not the most elusive guy in the world. So it is possible that James Patton is a pretty good coach after all? That's not what I have been reading on the board.
I noticed Adam lining up for what turned out to be the last play of the game. He literally drug his foot up to the line of scrimmage. I was very impressed with him.
This line is beaten up and is pass protecting in an excellent way; the run blocking is inconsistent at best (which is the way it's been going on three years now.) I think it'll be hard for Tyler Evans to beat out Irwin, or Shead now. Next year we could be pretty solid at O Line if D. Williams and all the others can come back close to 100%.
