First of all you have 2 of the best WR's in the country on your team. You are 2nd string TE behind a Senior who caught 8 TD's last year. In the last game you played vs Texas you caught 2 for 23 and had a play especially designed for you that worked. He didn't suit up saturday night so i'm assuming he must have checked out before that game, while we were undefeated and in position to play for a NC. The guy quit on his teammates. So please spare me any hint of putting this one on the coaches. Jermaine Gresham didn't quit when he caught 8 balls as a freshman. You want to transfer after the season, absolutely fine. To quit when you are an important contributor to the team in the middle of the season is a joke.
There has got to be more to the story. I doubt if James can really disclose it even if he knows. Kids don't transfer for this especially when he knows: 1) he two guys he is sharing snaps at TE with are graduating after this season and 2) Broyles, the focal point, is graduating too.
That just doesn't make ANY sense guys and don't believe for a minute that he is transferring over this..there is more to the story. He would be the man next year and he knows it.
Once again, there is more that is not being disclosed.
I'm hell when I'm well.. And, I am never sick!
This really doesn't make much sense. There must be more to it or he's getting some really bad advice.
KMFO, you do realize James Hanna led all TE's in college football last year in TD's? How is that not utilizing a TE?
Yeah you all are barking up the wrong tree- AlbSooner is right- there's "More to the picture than meets the eye!"
I'm getting this bad feeling that something weird is going on inside the program. We totally lay the wood to Texas, then come out and play like crap against Kansas (probably with a bad week of practice), then play the ultimate bizarro game against Tech (with an acknowledged week of bad practice). Travis Lewis calling out players on the team. I really thought that team unity (uniting behind the Austin Box situation) and chemistry would make this an elite team. I realize we've only lost one game, but I'm really worried about this team. This weekend will tell us a whole lot about where we're going as a team, and maybe a program.
He was starting for one of the top programs in the history of college football guys.He can't be that stupid. He also was getting more plays designed specifically for him in the last few games.Don't buy that he's leaving because he isn't getting 10 passes a game even though that would happen some games If he stayed.Germaine Gresham was taken in the first rd.of the draft and averaged only 4 or 5 catches a game.Whoever is advising him need to wake up.Maybe this kid will change his mind.

James is right. Landry often locks onto one receiver and hardly looks at his TEs. Move Millard to TE and bring in Musil at FB.
