If by "don't care" you mean I'm not going to rant and rave like a spoiled child over something I have zero control over then you are correct, I don't care.
But I care plenty about the program and the results on the field. And I've got 15+ years worth of not exactlt tiny donation receipts to prove it.
I choose to approach things as an adult and show some respect and class for those that have chosen OU.
And I think it takes a real chump to sell them short on a public forum before they have even signed.
The defense rest.
I'm a real adult fan, not like all you other spoiled babies. You don't know anything about me, but I can make wild accusations about you.
Do I think a positive outlook is better than the continual stream of defeatists negativity?
Damn right I do.
Yeah, you're never negative to a poster that doesn't hold your point of view.
And then you proudly trumpet how positive you are.
If you can't see the difference in someone challenging the cheap shot defeatists on here vs someone who continually complains about whatever they can find wrong with the program on a given day then I don't know what to tell you.
I guess you have too much of a limited comprehension to get it. Explains a lot though.
Have fun with your drama I guess. Proceed trashing our commits, coaches, current players, and whatever else you can think of. I'm sure in your mind they all rightfully deserve it.
Whatever makes you happy. Or unhappy I guess, or whatever.
The defense rest AGAIN!
No you don't take any cheap shots, other than your constant put downs and condescending remarks.
Then you wanna talk about other people and drama? That alone is laughable.
You must have saddle sores from sitting on your big white horse so much.
Maybe you should spend less time being a condescending, self righteous, board monitor.
But I'm sure that won't happen, so by all means go back to bashing posters who dare have an opposing view, then spend the next ten post spouting off about how positive you are and how much better you are than them.
What's laughable is the way some of you continually criticize others who have achieved much more in life than most ever will, plus dish out criticism against teenagers who haven't even shown up on campus yet - but then you are so freaking thin skinned that you don't want to be criticized yourselves.
That is what's laughable.
Please, is this a joke?
Continually bash others who have achieved much more in life than most ever will. Really? Are posters criticizing doctors, oilmen, ceo's? No they're criticizing coaches, for what they do/don't do. What they've achieved in life has nothing to do with this. But nice, try. Use drama much?
And for the most part posters aren't criticizing current recruits, they're critical of the so many that have committed elsewhere. Isn't this thread about all the ones who OU won't sign?
No poster is above criticism, but before you proclaim how thin skinned others are, well then pot, maybe you should talk to the kettle.
With your constant condescending tone and put downs, the slightest criticism of the coaches sets you off. But you're the worst kind of thin skinned poster, because after you bash a poster that had the audacity to question a coach, you proclaim how positive you are, and how much better you are than them.
That's what's laughable.
You are totally wrong.
I have questioned coaching decisions myself, and I see others do it in a responsible way.
But there are about 15 or so who act like they know everything that goes on behind the scenes, and have convinced themselves that the program is in a shambles, make an issue out of Stoops salary and/or house, proclaim our coaches are fat and lazy, look into their crystal ball and determine our current recruits are not very good, state how bad we are going to get beat by teams XYZ next year, say certain players suck if they don't play perfectly, claim the S&C program is too tough but somehow the players are too soft, say our coaches cant close, cant evaluate talent, cant coach them up when they get here, and a litany of other trash.
And then just persist with the same thing on and on and on and on.....new threads everyday about the same old whines.
It's just really disappointing that you can't talk strategy, tactics, or the potential positive impacts of any newcomers without someone piping off about how lazy, fat, old, overpaid, or stupid a coach is - or pine over the player that got away, or whine over the weight of some commit, or talk about how terrible things are.
And to what end? Just fills the board up with junk.
Then why respond every time to a threads certain posters start?
I post quite a bit about football and often ask non-bashing questions.
I get tired of every thread, even if it's the most non-bashing questions, turning into certain posters jumping all over the OP for having dared ask a question about coaches or recruiting.
I never say coaches are fat, lazy, or stupid. Or that players suck. Some do, but I don't. So don't generalize me with others.
Was this thread necessary? Really?
What was the point, other than to get back at other posters?
Like I said this is a fan board message board. Everybody has their own opinion. But is it an opinion to bash other posters for their's or is it something more?
Too many posters are so quick to pounce, they don't even talk football. Just post how dumb or how much of a clown somebody is. Now is that really an opinion about OU football?
You're right though this board fills up with way to much junk, and this thread is a perfect example.
I really expected it to die after a post or two. But, it goes to show how emotional the posters on this board are.
I was just poking fun of all the over-reaction (in my humble OPINION) of grown adults when teenage kids commit elsewhere. But, just like that, this thread gets over-reacted on also. LOL
Here is your last contribution to the board......
"Every pimple becomes cancer according to this board. Every fart becomes Mt. Vesuvius. I have never seen wolves so anxious to eat their own. Coupled with trolls, EVERY issue is magnified, regurgitated and lapped up until the jackels pass out from their own self incurred hyperventilation.
Having been around a long time, this hysteria and overreaction seems like it is exactly like the last time of prolonged success when the OU fan base became so self important and had such a sense of entitlement that they could never enjoy a win or appreciate the effort and sacrifices the athletes made to play and represent our state and university. The biggest difference is that any pinhead with a keyboard and internet access can be as uncivil as they want.
I am really sorry for the fans who didn't enjoy the 10 wins we had this season. They don't enjoy conference championships. They can't focus on things that give pleasure, but prefer to obsess on every little problem as if it really was their own and was really important. What a shame that grown people can't just enjoy a kids' game. "
Could you PLEASE try some new material at some point????

For the record - you called me out first. The post you quoted by me did not mention you or any other specific poster by name. In fact, it was primarily in support of our committed class - although I admittedly took a shot at those who appear to be selling them short - but again, in general terms.
But then you quoted me and addressed me directly.
When that happens I'm going to respond directly more times than not. Just as you would.
You will see no more from me in this argument, but the haters are gonna keep exercising their right to hate, so I'll keep exercising my right to criticize their posts if I darn well please.
Like I said, everybody has the right to post.
But if condescending comments and backhanded jabs at every instance someone doesn't share your POV, are what you consider criticism, so be it.
But is it really criticism of the comment, or more of a personal attack on the poster who doesn't agree?
Then claim to be positive?
We'll just agree to disagree.
