"Well...that oughta hold 'em for the next decade or so..." - Barry Switzer
You're a joke Andrew. I didn't want to argue with him. It's called talking. Someone said I wouldn't say anything to Stoops so I responded that I already had in the past. All you wannabes think he is so untouchable and no common fan could ever back up a discussion about his short comings. He is nothing special so wouldn't someone approach him.
You blind mamby pamby people make me sick
Maybe you don't get it.
You have the opinion that someone is trying to "police" the board by stating his opinions in response to other posters.
Your response to this is an attempt to tell him how he should and should not be posting, which is clearly the same thing you are accusing him of.
Maybe you are aware of your own hypocrisy and are comfortable with it. I was simply trying to point it out in case you were not self aware and would rather not be a hypocrite.
But whatever. I think Matteon is consistently one of the most level headed posters on here in the way he leaves the emotional garbage out, so I'm sure that makes me condescending in your book as well.
I'll take it as a compliment.
In my mind it's over. You are now on ignore. Walk away.
Did you watch the same game as I did? OU/KSU, our secondary was one of the few bright spots of the game. Colvin was spectacular in coverage and tackling.
You're the joke LA. When you used the term 'stand up' to the coach, an altercation is what you were seeking. I guess I'm a mamby pamby since I don't try to 'stand up' to coach Stoops. LMAO!! By the way, wannabes? WTH does that mean? What are you saying we want to be?
Real question. While I agree one shouldn't confront a coach in public, I wouldn't do it for tact reasons. Who is going to confront Stoops about his poor coaching? Joe c? That's a joke. Boren? That's a joke. So who will do it?
And again OUrover rolls over and let's his boyfriend take over.
And it's a legit question. By coaching, are you talking x's and o's, game management or assistants he's hired? I assume you mean all 3 and others I didn't mention. Bob's 'coaching' does include all of that, but the specific problems to me are the assistants he's brought in not named Mike. All of that, I'm sure, is discussed at the end of each season when review time comes with Joe C and Boren. I have no reason to believe otherwise really. My only 'problem' with coach Stoops is the people he's brought in or promoted up aren't ready or experienced enough. Also, 2 line coaches and co-coordinators doesn't seem to be optimal. But, that's just my opinion.
Heupel coaches offense like Kevin Wilson. He gets away from what is working BEFORE the opposing defense stops it like against LSU and Florida in our NC games when we were running it down their throats only to start throwing when the field got real short. Its like we outsmart ourselves. KSU probably ran 20 different plays Saturday night, we probably ran 60 different plays. Saturday night was the same thing when we wanted to run off tackle or hit the edges most of the time we were getting big chunks and would just stop doing it, then we would be 2nd and 10 after a bad throw, or 2nd-19 after a sack because Landry cant sit in the pocket, then, after a run strait up the gut would be 3rd and 6, or 3rd and 13 and we would throw and KSU knew it. Time and again, I find myself muttering to myself, “what in the hades are we doing? Where did that come from?”
