Plenty of the wives on here agree I'm sure.
My vote is to bench Laundry. Play anyone else but him. Please... He is terrible!!!!
He is terrible. Shepard was the only bright spot here. LB's are terrible. Wort is not a middle linebacker.
Gets worse every year. even on the completions, he is late and receivers make it look good. Jesus, he literally lost the game tonight. You say not to hang it on one guy but he did this. My next vote is for Wort.
While I agree he is an AVERAGE QB, I still would never say he sucks. Landry is what he is=average.
I'm a real adult fan, not like all you other spoiled babies. You don't know anything about me, but I can make wild accusations about you.
I agree with this message.
i don't blame Landry as much as I blame the coaches. we all can see that he is not the QB to run this system so why not run an offense that he would do better in. OU will be like this as long as Bob is the HC because he refuses to go out and get qualified coordinators. there is no way JH should be the OC right now. He just doesn't and didn't have the experience for that job.
Yeah, I said that last week and I got ripped big-time for making that notion, remember "VIP'S"?
He wil get drafted and play in the NFL so I don't think I can say he sucks. He sure played bad tonight.
Yeah he's terrible at blocking for himself!! So, so bad!
(he didn't play great, but our line sucks, etc. and so forth)

That is why the Sooners need a mobile QB, like Blake Bell.
Four years I have been yelling at Landry Jones. Four years and if anything he has regressed. He lost the game today simple as that. At least he can't stay another year. I doubt he gets drafted before the 6th round if at all. He may get at shot at the Pro's. I wish he had gone last year.
The fumble, the stupid pick, but also what about the sure touchdown pass to Brannon Green that was thrown behind him?
Landry peed down his leg at the first sign of pressure. He is consistent about one thing - failing to respond to pressure. Bench him and let someone who will try instead of panicking at the first sign of pressure. Good lord. I know 5 qbs in high school in houston who would have played better than he did tonight. If he goes pro he will commit fraud and be prosecuted for stealing someone's money.
He will have to really improve to get drafted very high. Jerry Jones might be stupid enough to waste pick on hm.
If he plays in the NFL then we have the worst QB coaching in the nation because he has only gotten worse the longer he's been at OU.
Debatable. He's mentally weak. I just sat through 3 hours of his pathetic play. Horrible all freakin game, his awareness is stupid bad, his decision making is laughable, and his accuracy is equally as bad. How small are his damn hands?? His draft status is dropping like a rock.
You think Landry gets anxious and makes bad decisions under pressure? I'm sure Blake Bell will look like a surgeon on 3rd and 8 in the face of a blitz.
(again, acknowledging that he didn't play great. but, I guess it's easier having a single scapegoat.)
Decent QB play and we win by 10.
I could say the same if we didn't allow +200 rushing yards, or had a fumble from Bell just outside the endzone, or gotten 0 turnovers, allowed a 4th down conversion and 7 3rd down conversions, had some of the worst "blocking" I've seen, and only averaged 3.3 yards/rush, etc...
The problem is bigger than your QB when a true freshman WR is the only bright spot of the evening.
edited for smartass-ness corrections. sorry about that. :)
just plain stupid to say
True however, he put the entire team in a hole all night. First drive he left a TD on the field missing a wide open TE. Could've easily had 3 other picks. Missed a WIDE open Stills, constantly threw behind WRs. Then the Bell fumble is also included in poor QB play. The defense was good enough to win. They were exhausted in the fourth quarter from being on the field the entire game.
Crowd was great tonight, a lot of electricity. Had we not shit down our leg it would've been a fun night.
look here dude, The mans Faith has nothing to do with his fb abilities... Ok!! He is a very solid fb, in the wrong scheme.. josh has done more to hurt landry's growth than u can ever dream of.. losing wilson killed landry and this landry regressed, he doesnt suck.. He has made a lot of great plays and has made by far many more good plays than bad.... he had a bad game!! i never thought he was a GREAT qb anyways... but he doesnt suck
I agree with your entire post but the last 3 words. Losing Wilson has really hurt him badly. And the faith talk is just silly. Bradford was very involved with FCA.
Eh, different perspectives, I guess.
I don't think the team as a whole played well enough to win. We could have won if Landry played better. We also could have won if the rest of the team played better. Neither did, hence the loss.
